Job Description
Neurosurgical ICU Nurse Educator
Job Description
The Nurse Educator will develop and implement education and professional development services and programs for health system employees within the Neurosurgical ICU setting.
Responsibilities
Develop, organize, promote, implement, evaluate, and revise nursing professional development activities including orientation, precepting, transition to practice program, simulations, competency validation, computer-based learning, and continuing education courses throughout the organization.
Serve as a nurse planner for nursing education units accredited by the appropriate nursing standards.
Promote and support evidence-based practice; serve as a program administrator for nursing procedures.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Montana Licensure (Registered Nurse).
• Minimum of 3 years clinical nursing experience or equivalent health teaching experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of education/training in administrative, management, and leadership principles and practices.
• Preferred: Master's Degree in Nursing and instructor certification in American Health Association disciplines.
• 1 year of experience as a clinical nurse educator or staff development role is preferred.

Schedule
This position requires a 40-hour workweek, with variable scheduling that may include weekends and after-hours shifts. On-call work may be required to respond promptly to organizational, patient, or employee needs.
