RN- Health Care (Full-Time

Inova Mt. Vernon Hospital is looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the Behavioral Health team. This role will be full‑time day shift 7:00 am - 7:00 pm with a rotating weekend. Sign on bonus and relocation assistance are available for external candidates who qualify.

Responsibilities
As a Registered Nurse (RN) you will communicate effectively with patients, families, team members, and medical providers. You will create a collaborative team‑working environment and demonstrate respect for various clinical disciplines. You will apply a focused and integrated approach to improve patient outcomes and experience of care delivery. Your participation in learning new knowledge, developing new skills, and meeting program objectives is essential. Demonstrating willingness to learn under the direct supervision of an experienced RN and through various training formats is required.

Minimum Qualifications

A minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience.

Education: BSN or ADN - if ADN, complete a BSN within 5 years of start date.

BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification from the American Heart Association required.

RN licensed and eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Proficient in English with strong verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor toward others. Proficient computer skills required.

Preferred Qualifications

Inpatient psychiatric experience preferred.
