Overnight Direct Support Professional (DSP)
Nue Beginnings Residence Home, Inc.
Full-Time Overnight Position (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Location: Austell GA. Alternating Weekends Required.
Experienced IDD Professionals Wanted.
Nue Beginnings Residence Home is seeking experienced Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide overnight support to adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) in a residential setting.
This position requires experience supporting individuals with challenging behaviors, physical aggression, and total care needs. Candidates must be dependable, compassionate, and committed to providing high-quality care and ensuring the safety of the individuals we serve.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of Direct Support Professional experience
- Experience supporting individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD)
- Experience managing physical aggression and behavioral challenges
- Experience providing total care including bathing, toileting, feeding, grooming, transfers, and mobility assistance
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional during crisis situations
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification preferred
- Mindset Training Certification preferred
Responsibilities
Provide direct care and overnight supervision
Implement Individual Service Plans (ISP) and Behavior Support Plans (BSP)
Complete safety checks and required documentation
Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
Respond appropriately to medical, behavioral, and emergency situations
Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment
