Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality emergency care to adult and mixed-population patients, including triage, rapid assessment, monitoring, and patient stabilization
Initiate IV access, administer medications, perform wound care, and assist with diagnostic testing and procedures
Document care consistently and accurately in EPIC electronic medical record; communicate clearly with physicians, specialists, and team members
Monitor and reassess patients, respond to deteriorating conditions, and participate in de-escalation strategies when needed
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety, comfort, and timely disposition; support patient and family education
Maintain flexibility to meet unit needs, including scheduling adjustments and staffing requirements; comply with unit expectations for weekend coverage

Requirements
Licensure: Active RN license (state requirements apply for VT or multi-state eligibility)
Certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS, NIHSS, TNCC required; TNCC must be documented prior to start; NIHSS required prior to start
Experience: Minimum 2 years ER experience; prior travel experience preferred; large, teaching facility experience strongly preferred
Education: Current licensure as a registered nurse; EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years (nonnegotiable)
Other: Ability to work in a rotating day/night ED environment with flexibility; no float required to other areas
