Hospital Paramedic

Emergency Medical TechnicianUnder general supervision, performs rescue and emergency medical care functions. Work involves standing ready to respond twenty-four hours a day to emergency calls within a short period of time which includes but is not limited to responding to emergency assignment; performing duties as outlined by Emergency Medical Technician Basic certification; driving and maneuvering emergency vehicles; managing emergency scenes and communication; performing inventory, stocking, and cleaning of equipment/unit; staffing the emergency center; Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent supplemented by successful completion of State of Louisiana, Department of Health and Hospital, and Bureau of Emergency Medical Services Emergency Medical Technician – Basic EMT training course with resulting EMT Certification obtained through National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician's testing.•Must have current certification by State of Louisiana, Department of Health and Hospitals, Bureau of Emergency Medical Services; Must possess and provide certifications and a valid Class D driver's license with application.•Attach a copy of your valid Driver's License and certifications with application.This examination may consist of a written test, a rating of training and experience, an oral panel interview or any combination thereof.
