Part-time role include:

Starting $20.48 per hour; Shifts and Days vary.
Responsible for operating the cash register and providing excellent customer service in the café. Duties include handling cash transactions, assisting with food service, maintaining cleanliness, stocking supplies, and supporting deliveries. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food handling standards, including FIFO procedures and infection control. Complete safety logs, follow company and regulatory guidelines (CDPH, Joint Commission, CMS), and participate in training. Additional tasks include proper disposal of waste, handling hazardous materials per policy, and other duties as assigned.
Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately.
Provide excellent customer service to patients, staff, and visitors. Assist with food service tasks, including serving food and beverages.
Ensure proper storage of food items, following First In, First Out (FIFO) procedures.
Stock the café with necessary supplies and food items.
Monitor and maintain adequate levels of supplies and materials.
Identify and utilize cleaning chemicals following directions recommended by the manufacturer and per Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
Follow all safety and risk management policies and procedures.
Participate in regular safety meetings and training sessions.
Follow food and physical safety guidelines as outlined in the company's policies, as well as state and federal regulatory agencies, including the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), Joint Commission, and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
Adhere to the department's infection control policies and procedures to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
Follow the facility's protocols for the hazardous materials and waste program, ensuring proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Strong customer service skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
Ability to read, write, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Must have a valid California Food Handlers Certification or will obtain within seven days of hire.
Manual dexterity to handle cash and operate a cash register.
