Quality Engineering & Assurance

Leads and assists in the commissioning of new or revised products and processes with a focus on Process Capability and Quality Assurance. These efforts will mitigate processing risks, reduce costs and optimize customer satisfaction. The scope of work will largely entail pre-production and prototype activities, but on-going production assistance and resolutions of customer concerns will be required.

Issue Return Material Authorizations to the customer and follow product back to the facilities. Identify and prioritize process risks that impact quality of product. Ensure proper prevention and detection controls are established, as they relate to process risks Understand and use AIAG core tools (e.g. Manage all documents and records related to the program. Communicate with the customer(s) on a routine basis to ensure they understand the status of their products. Lead the development of process work instructions (SOP's), inspection criteria and forms, and any other related documentation. Determine, procure and/or validate any Inspection, Measuring or Test Equipment related to the product. Evaluate, contain for, and implement corrective actions to customer rejections and major internal rejections.

Bachelor's degree (B. from four-year college or university (Engineering Technology preferred) and two years experience; or Associates degree and 3-5 years related experience and/or training; Formal GD&T training and demonstrated understanding. Ability to work with company MRO software (Vantage), Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project Manager, Power Inspect (Romer) or other similar CMM software. ASQ certification preferred, valid driver's license required for visits to customer facilities

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
