As a DevOps Engineer, you are part of a mission-critical team that ensures our global engineering force has the most reliable and efficient build environments possible.Actian is seeking a DevOps Engineer with 3-5 years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments. This role requires strong Linux and Windows system administration skills along with experience in automation, operational compliance, and audit support. The position works closely with engineering, operations, and security teams to maintain and improve critical infrastructure systems and operational processes.Position requires employee to be physically located in the Austin Texas metro for hybrid working schedule. No relocation is available for this position at this time. Responsibilities: Administering and supporting Linux and Windows systemsPerforming system maintenance, patching, upgrades, and troubleshootingSupporting internal and external audit activities, including evidence collection and remediation trackingMaintaining infrastructure and operational documentationDeveloping and maintaining automation using AnsibleWorking with Git-based workflows and configuration managementSupporting operational security and compliance initiativesAssisting with infrastructure modernization and process improvement effortsPreferred Experience: Ansible and GitBash, PowerShell, or Python scriptingVirtualization platforms such as VMware or ProxmoxBackup and recovery platformsCompliance and audit processesMonitoring and infrastructure management toolsIdeal Candidate: Looking for candidates who have spent most of their career managing on-premises servers and infrastructure, not cloud environments. Cloud-native engineers with primarily Kubernetes and AWS/GCP/Azure experience are not a match.We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information.
