We hold quality accreditations for all the major airframe and engine manufacturers for both civil and military applications. Wyman-Gordon creates rotating closed-die forgings which are critical for aerospace and land-based gas turbines. Wyman-Gordon also manufactures structural forgings for airframe, nuclear, petrochemical, power generation, and space applications.

Location Profile

Located in Ontario, California, Summit Machine, LLC specializes in the rough and finish machining of super alloys for the aerospace, commercial, defense, power, and petroleum industries. Complex components include nickel base, titanium, stainless steel, aluminum and carbon steels with parts ranging in size from 2" OD - 120" OD.

Position Summary

The Level 2 Machinist operates multiple 2-5 axis CNC lathe machines simultaneously. Responsibilities include machine setup, preparing and setting up fixtures and cutting tools, loading and adjusting CNC programs and offsets, performing inspections, and basic preventative machine maintenance such as coolant and lube levels and maintaining area cleanliness. Competencies include the ability to use advanced quality inspection tools and techniques, intermediate print reading, and experience with common CNC G and M codes with a basic understanding of GD&T (geometric dimensioning & tolerance).

Experience & Education

High school diploma or equivalent is required .

2-4 years of machinist experience is required .

Experience in aerospace manufacturing, automotive, or mechanics is preferred .

Pay and Benefits

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $25.00 to $31.25 USD hourly. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year, 10 paid holidays, and are eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, and a 401(k) plan. The role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at a quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company's bonus multiple.
