The Busser plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dining area to ensure a pleasant and efficient dining experience for guests. This position supports the waitstaff by promptly clearing and resetting tables, replenishing supplies, and assisting with general upkeep throughout service hours. The Busser contributes to the overall flow of the restaurant by facilitating quick table turnover and helping to create a welcoming environment. Ultimately, the Busser helps uphold the establishment’s standards of hospitality and cleanliness, directly impacting guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Previous experience in a food service or hospitality environment is preferred but not required.

Experience working in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality setting.

Knowledge of proper food safety and sanitation practices.

Basic understanding of restaurant operations and guest service standards.

Reset tables with clean linens, silverware, glassware, and condiments according to restaurant standards.

Assist servers by refilling water glasses, delivering bread or other items, and responding to guest requests as needed.

Collaborate with kitchen and waitstaff to ensure smooth communication and efficient service flow during busy periods.

The Busser uses strong organizational skills daily to efficiently clear and reset tables, ensuring the dining area remains clean and inviting. Communication skills are essential for coordinating with servers and kitchen staff to maintain smooth service flow and promptly address guest needs. Physical stamina and attention to detail enable the Busser to perform repetitive tasks such as lifting, carrying, and cleaning while maintaining high standards of hygiene. Multitasking skills help manage multiple tables and responsibilities simultaneously during peak hours.
