Travel ICU RN - Night Shift RN

American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN for a PACU position in Portland, Oregon. The role requires critical care or PACU experience and Epic proficiency with variable shifts and on‑call responsibilities.

Assignment Details

Shift Schedule

Days: 3x12‑hour (0530-1730) or Night: 3x12‑hour (1900-0730)

Shift flexibility required; assigned shift expected to remain consistent week to week when possible

On‑call support for nights, weekends, and holidays

Floating to nearby affiliate hospital may be required

Patient Population

38‑bay PACU, 24/7, serving adult patients and some pediatric patients

Ambulatory, acute care, and critical care patients arriving from home, the ED, and inpatient settings for surgery/procedures and anesthesia recovery

Qualifications

Active Oregon RN license

Current BLS and ACLS certifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in adult or pediatric critical care (ICU, high‑acuity ED, or PACU)

Epic EMR experience

COVID vaccination proof required—no exemptions

Two manager or supervisor references from the last 24 months (charge RN references not acceptable)

Additional Requirements

Must be away from the facility for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler

Requested time off must be submitted at time of profile and may not exceed 2 weeks

First‑time travelers: check with your recruiter for eligibility details

Candidates who are former employees or previous travelers at this facility must provide a reference from the OHSU manager who supervised them

Pay & Benefits
Pay package based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
