Registered Nurse (RN) - Oncology/Hematology
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Oncology and Hematology to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care for individuals diagnosed with hematological and oncology conditions, as well as palliative, hospice, and end-of-life care.

Contract Length
Preferred Length: 26 weeks (longer contracts of 26-51 weeks given priority)
Short-term contracts (down to 13 weeks) may be considered on a case-by-case basis

Shift Details
12-hour shifts, with 36 hours guaranteed per week
Weekend rotation required (every other weekend)
Floating across other post-surgical and medical-surgical inpatient floors may be necessary
Holiday Policy
Healthcare providers may request one holiday off per year, must comply with holiday rotation policies including 2 federal holidays and 2 non-essential holidays per year.
Qualifications
Education: ADN or BSN required
Minimum Experience: 1 year of acute care nursing experience required; experience in oncology/hematology preferred
Certifications:
AHA BLS certification required at the time of submission
Chemotherapy Certification preferred
~ License: Kansas license or multistate license required (No license violations permitted)

Unit Overview
This 21-bed unit specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of hematological and oncology diseases, providing comprehensive care including chemotherapy, symptom management, and supportive services for progressive diagnoses.
Staffing Ratios
1:6 ratio; 1:4 ratio with patients actively receiving chemotherapy
Appearance Policy
Visible tattoos are permitted as long as they are not offensive or inappropriate. Piercings must maintain a professional appearance and should not interfere with job duties.
Vaccination Requirements
Proof of immunity for Hepatitis B, MMR, and Varicella (via titer or vaccination completion)
TDaP vaccine, Influenza vaccine (or exemption request) required during flu season
Documentation for TB required
