PRN GI Procedural Registered Nurse
Location: Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Waxahachie
Endoscopy Services (Hospital GI Lab & Freestanding ASC)

Schedule: PRN (Variable hours based on department needs)
Shift: Weekday procedural hours, Monday-Friday

Hospital GI Lab

RNs coverage for each phase of care: Performs routine and advanced GI Endoscopy, as well as Pulmonology procedures.

RNs coverage for each phase of care: Performs routine GI endoscopy, pain injections, stimulator implant procedures, and upcoming orthopedic injections.

Prior or recent procedural/endoscopy experience.

Experience in advanced GI or pulmonology procedural settings.

Background supporting minor surgical or interventional procedures (pain injections, stimulator implants).

The Registered Nurse on Unit is a key player in patient care management, following our nursing practice model. They work with other health care staff to deliver patient care effectively. Our Registered Nurses use the nursing process efficiently. They diagnose patient responses to health issues and create care plans accordingly. It includes evaluating healthcare needs and responses.

create, implement, and assess care plan to achieve outcomes. Facilitate learning for all members of the healthcare team, including patients, families, and nursing staff.

Collaborate effectively with colleagues and the community to develop and execute an integrated plan of care.

Familiarity with nursing and patient care standards and procedures.

Awareness of legal requirements and standards of certification and accreditation bodies, including specifics of the hospital and respective department/unit.

Good command of medical terminology, focusing on healthcare promotion, risk reduction, and disease prevention.

Capability to identify and report changes in patient conditions, develop, and modify patient care plans as required.

Basic computer skills necessary for day‑to‑day assignments.

Field of Study: Nursing.

Registered Nurse License.
