Contract | Night Shift (4x12 Hours, 19:00–07:00) | 36 or 48 hours per week | Block scheduling available | Every other weekend required
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on a 42-bed Cardio/Neurovascular Med-Surg/Telemetry unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
Monitor and manage patients with high-acuity cardiac and neurovascular conditions
Identify and respond to dysrhythmias and telemetry changes in a timely manner
Administer and titrate cardiac drips including Cardizem, Tridil, and Amiodarone
Document all patient care activities accurately using Epic EMR
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate and deliver safe, effective patient care
Required Qualifications
Active Alabama RN license or compact license in good standing (no pending actions) required at time of submission
Minimum 1–2 years of experience with high-acuity patients
Demonstrated experience with dysrhythmia recognition and management
Experience administering cardiac drips (Cardizem, Tridil, Amiodarone)
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Proficiency with Epic EMR
Preferred Experience / Skills
Previous travel nursing experience preferred; highly experienced candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
Prior experience working in large healthcare facilities
Familiarity with telemetry monitoring in a Med-Surg or step-down setting
