Stantec is seeking a highly motivated, ambitious Transportation Roadway Engineer (PE) to work on both small and large high‑profile roadway and highway projects. The role requires applying sound engineering principles and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare construction documents and cost estimates for roadway and highway projects.

Perform complex engineering design tasks for highway projects per TxDOT design standards.

Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate the technical aspects of assigned projects.

Train junior level staff on design software packages for roadway 3D modeling.

Capabilities and Credentials

Proficient in MicroStation and OpenRoads 3D modeling tools, and other relevant design software.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong knowledge of the TxDOT design/planning procedures and PSE plan production.

Ability to solve complex problems using sound professional judgement, creativity, and innovation.

Ability to discuss project issues with clients and reviewing agencies.

Ability to collaborate in project team settings and effectively communicate ideas, design issues, and solutions.

Education and Experience

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) minimum.

TX PE license required.

Minimum of 5 years highway/roadway design experience.

TxDOT Precertification preferred.
