Buyer (PURCH-2026-25795):

Bowhead seeks a Buyer to support our Purchasing Department. This position requires an individual who has knowledge on procurement functions. Maintains strong working relationships, communications with key supplier’s & confirms shipping schedules and monitors open purchase orders. Supports obtaining materials from suppliers at the lowest cost consistent with considerations of quality, reliability of source and urgency of need. Knowledge of Materials (Purchasing & Inventory) in a purchasing environment.

Coordinates with shipping companies ie. Understanding Quality Deficiency Reports, Non-Cancel/ Non-return Orders, Request for Variance

Maintain SharePoint site

Coordinates collection and preparation of reports

Compiles data

Seeking five plus years (5+) years of professional experience working with government contract procurement, purchasing and or buying experience.

Microsoft Office Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

Target salary is $70,000/annually to $85,000/annually commensurate with experience
