Assistant Counsel, Legal and Compliance

Opportunity to join a well-known, global non-profit serving a large global community is looking to expand their US legal department, hiring a new Assistant General Counsel.
The Assistant Legal Counsel will:
Provide legal advice and guidance on a wide range of issues affecting the organization, including contracts, compliance, and governance.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
Ensure the organization's compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
Collaborate with internal teams to address legal risks and support strategic initiatives.
Manage relationships with external legal counsel as needed in the US, Israel, and in other countries where the non-profit is operating projects.
Conduct legal research and provide clear, actionable guidance to stakeholders.
Support the development and implementation of policies and procedures to mitigate legal risks.
Stay updated on legal and regulatory developments relevant to the not-for-profit sector.

- 3+ years Big Law experience, preferably in transactions, corporate, or real estate.
- Experience providing legal counsel for non-profit organizations would be helpful but is not essential.
- Strong skills in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and agreements.
- Ability to provide clear legal advice to diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in conducting legal research and applying relevant laws and regulations.
