Project Architect - Project Architect, Project Architecture

Project Architect The Project Architect is responsible for leading the planning, design, and coordination of architectural projects, including new construction, renovations, and expansions. This role serves as a key liaison between clients, internal teams, and external partners to ensurethat design solutions align with client goals, regulatory requirements, and budget constraints.

The Project Architect plays a critical role in delivering high-quality, innovative design solutions while supporting efficient project execution from concept through construction. This position also requires the individual be a resident in the State of Michigan with the ability to travel throughout the state to client sites and to meet project and team needs.

Determines clients' preferences regarding materials, styles, colors, and other variables.

Creates detailed construction document plans and specifications integrating engineering, electrical, and HVAC considerations; Prepares scale drawings and contract requirements and submits for bids.

Collaborates with subconsultants, construction managers, and clients to facilitate the building process to meet clients' specifications.

Other duties as assigned by the Project Director and/or the Project Manager.

Supervision Received:

No supervision: Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution required; Strong proficiency in architectural design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, SketchUp, Enscape

Proficient in architectural design principals, buildings systems, local building codes and regulations, and construction methods required.

Creative problem-solving skills and a passion for architectural design

Knowledge of architectural, civil, structural, and electrical disciplines; building construction; and building codes.

Ability to work in an energetic and challenging work environment on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Ability to travel throughout the state of Michigan regularly (2-3 days per week) to client sites and in-person meetings, required.
