Primary Objective of Bartender Position
To maximize customer satisfaction by providing quality beverage service

Responsibilities

Provides quality food and beverage service to customers
Approaches customers promptly suggesting a cocktail/wine or non-alcoholic beverages and recommending promotional items
Uses approved suggestive selling techniques to upsell to premium products
Maintains knowledge of bar inventory and wine selection to respond properly to customer questions
Maintains a thorough knowledge of beverage recipes and mixing procedures
Mixes drinks for hotel service staff
Understands and follows all state laws and guidelines for beverage service
Maintains proper bar cleanliness
Ensures that all beverages are served according to specifications
Stocks and orders all supplies and glassware
Displays beverage selection in an attractive manner
Demonstrates the ability to resolve simple customer complaints
Handles difficult situations effectively
