Status: Part-time

Hours: Monday – Friday; As a Custodian, you play a vital role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, faculty, and visitors. Your work supports a positive learning atmosphere and contributes directly to the success of the college community. By maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of campus facilities, you help ensure students can focus on learning in a healthy, organized environment.

Responsibilities of the Custodian include, but are not limited to:

Maintain cleanliness in all assigned areas of the building, including classrooms, offices, labs, conference rooms, common areas, dining and serving spaces, stairways, and lobbies.

Ensure proper and safe handling of chemicals and cleanup of biohazard materials following health and safety guidelines; Secure windows and doors in all designated areas at the end of the shift or as required.

Identify and report any maintenance needs, including lighting, heating, or ventilation issues, to the Custodial Lead.

Contribute to a culture of cleanliness, safety, and respect across campus facilities.

A high school diploma or the equivalent.

Experience: At least six months of relevant custodial or facility maintenance experience preferred.

Willingness to adapt to changing assignments and building needs.

Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with safe cleaning practices, chemical handling, and biohazard protocols.
