In this role, the RN will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to deliver daily care to children and adolescents aged 6-18 in an inpatient behavioral unit. The primary diagnoses treated include major depression and ADD/ADHD. Key responsibilities include:Administering and educating patients on medicationsDocumenting daily patient care activitiesMonitoring and managing patient behaviors throughout the unitParticipating in and leading education groupsJob RequirementsEducationAssociate's Degree in Nursing requiredValid State of Maine RN license requiredBLS certification requiredExperience1-3 years of previous nursing experience working with adults preferredAt least 1 year of previous nursing experience requiredCPI Training requiredOther Skills RequiredExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsAble to communicate effectively with patients, families, providers, and coworkersCapacity to manage stressful situations appropriatelyAble to establish strong professional boundariesDedicated team player with self-directionAbility to stay engaged during downtimeAdditional RequirementsMust float to Chemical Dependency/Detox as necessaryHoliday coverage is requiredWe are an equal opportunity, affirmative action employer.
