RN Adult Care Location: Bronx Borough Shift: 9:00 AM 5:00 PM Start Date: 06/15/2026 Note: Must have experience in home care (traveling to patient homes and providing care) Candidates must be local. Every other weekend coverage is required. This is for the Bronx Borough.

Job Responsibilities: Duties may include but are not limited to: Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans in consultation with healthcare professionals. Evaluating medical information, as well as providing direct and individualized bedside nursing care to pre-and post-surgery patients. Preparing, administering and recording prescribed medications. Changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs. Adjusting specialized medical equipment as needed, as well as interpreting and recording measurements. Monitoring patients' vitals and reporting adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner. Collaborating on discharge planning with the healthcare team. Answering questions and educating patients and their families on surgical procedures and post-surgery care. Maintaining and updating patient files, medical charts, and health records. Adhering to best nursing practices, standards, and protocols. Required Skills & Experience: Acute Facilities: Minimum two (2) years Med/Surg experience in a large acute care hospital setting. The most recent experience should be within the past year. Post Acute Facilities: Minimum two (2) years Med/Surg experience in either Post Acute Facility or acute care hospital setting. The most recent experience should be within the past year. Physical assessment. Medication administration. Wound care & Infection control IV therapy. Post-operative care. Patient education. Telemetry monitoring.

Preferred Skills & Experience: EPIC EMR experience. Knowledge of Oasis

Required Education: Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited educational institute.

Required Certification & Licensure: New York State RN License & Primary Source Verification. AHA BLS. AHA ACLS (Queens only).
