Pharmacists play a key role in medication reconciliation, patient counseling, and transitions of care, helping to reduce readmissions and improve patient outcomes.
The hospital’s pharmacy service supports a broad inpatient caseload that may include medical-surgical units, intensive care, emergency services, perioperative areas, and select specialty services depending on current needs. This allows pharmacists to dedicate significant time to clinical and verification activities.
Shifts may include a mix of days, evenings, and weekends, with scheduling designed to ensure consistent coverage while supporting work-life balance.
