Travel RN Job Details
Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,908–$2,120

Nursing Specialty: Mother/Baby, postpartum, and newborn care

On-site hospital

Contract Duration: 14-week travel nursing contract

Schedule: 3 shifts per week; Shift: 12-hour night shifts, approximately 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m.

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Mother/Baby Registered Nurse Job Requirements
At least 2 years of acute care Registered Nurse experience, preferably in a Mother/Baby, postpartum, or newborn care setting

Current Registered Nurse licensure appropriate for practice in Kentucky

Nursing diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing

Experience using Epic electronic health records (EHR)

Strong communication, clinical judgment, teamwork, patient education, and care coordination skills

Mother/Baby RN Responsibilities
Assess and reassess postpartum patients and newborns according to clinical policies and individual patient needs

Develop, prioritize, implement, and revise individualized plans of care for mothers and newborns

Monitor patient responses to clinical interventions and document nursing care accurately in the Epic EHR

Provide compassionate, evidence-based Mother/Baby nursing care that supports patient and family comfort, safety, and satisfaction

Educate patients and families about care, treatment, newborn needs, recovery, and discharge planning

Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate postpartum and newborn care

Participate in quality, safety, service improvement, regulatory compliance, mentoring, and teamwork initiatives
