Hospital Paramedic - Emergency Room

As our Paramedic for Good Samaritan Hospital, you will provide advanced emergency medical care and transport critically ill or injured patients in pre-hospital and inter-facility settings.
Every day you will rapidly assess scenes, evaluate conditions, and administer life-saving interventions, while safely operating emergency vehicles and documenting care.
Functions within the scope of practice of a Paramedic as defined within Nebraska state regulations and listed in the Approved Skills and Procedures for Licensed EMS Providers document
Provides patient care and performs patient care procedures including EKG, accu checks, CPR, crutches, ace bandage application, splint application, wound cleansing, dressing, and immobilization

High School Diploma or GED
Must have and maintain active membership on a Rescue Service in the state of Nebraska
CHI Health Good Samaritan has provided paramedic-level emergency ambulance service to the City of Kearney and Buffalo County Fire District #1 since 1988. Our paramedics also provide mutual aid response to area ambulance and rescue squads in order to bring the emergency department closer to the patient.
Francis in 1924, CHI Health Good Samaritan is a 268-bed regional referral center in Kearney, Neb. At CHI Health Good Samaritan, you’ll find an advanced level trauma center that also offers AirCare emergency helicopter transport and an ambulance program providing long distance and local 911 service. Among our many other services are cardiac care including open-heart surgery, a level II neonatal intensive care unit, a nationally accredited cancer center, comprehensive neurosurgery, advanced orthopedic program, and inpatient and outpatient mental health services at our free-standing Richard Young Behavioral Health facility.
