Role Description The Entry Writer at MBS Logistics is a full-time, remote role responsible for preparing and submitting accurate customs entries and related documentation for imported and exported goods. This role involves reviewing commercial invoices and shipping documents, classifying products according to applicable tariff codes, and ensuring compliance with customs regulations and client instructions. Daily tasks include data entry into internal systems, monitoring entry status, updating records, and supporting the resolution of customs holds or delays. The role also includes maintaining up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and contributing to process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Knowledge of customs entry procedures, import/export documentation, and basic international trade regulations.
Strong data entry skills, with high accuracy and attention to detail when reviewing invoices, packing lists, and shipping documents.
Ability to interpret and apply tariff classifications, duty rates, and regulatory requirements for various commodities.
Proficiency with office software and logistics or customs platforms (e.g., spreadsheets, data management tools, or brokerage systems).
Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple entries and deadlines in a remote environment.
High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in logistics, international business, or a related field is an advantage.
