Job Description As our Driver , you will play a critical role in supporting Landscapers Supply’s ability to serve our customers with high efficiency.

Your main role is to deliver landscape materials and power equipment to our customers and our stores. You are assisted with loading of our trucks by our Yard Equipment Operators.

Your time will be split between maintaining the yard (loading vehicles, organizing stock) and performing local deliveries of landscape materials and power equipment.

The key to your success is your safe operation of the trucks and ability to leave the load in the customer’s desired location.

You also need good communication skills and customer service skills. Generally, you are the last person that our customer has contact with, so your friendly interaction and respect for their property will be remembered.

Responsibilities Complete pre-trip inspections of your truck

Verify that the load matches the order before leaving the store

Call customer to confirm delivery and give an estimated arrival time

Drive a truck to deliver landscape materials such as mulch, or sod

Listen to the customer, and drop deliver orders in a timely manner

Record all driving in the driver log

Wash and maintain the delivery trucks

Deliver transfers between our stores

When not driving, assist in the yard and warehouse

Assist with special requests from management

Required Qualifications Clean Motor Vehicle Record for at least 7 years

Ability to have positive and friendly interactions with customers

Ability to have clear communication with colleagues in person and over radio

Ability to work steady and safely around people and vehicles

Desired Qualifications Experience working with a wheel loader, forklift, or other heavy equipment

Physical Requirements Ability to lift and handle up to 70 lbs.

Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
