Physician - Family Medicine - Primary Care Physician- Full Time

Primary Care Physician (Internal Medicine or Family Medicine) Paterson, NJ, United States (On-site)
Responsibilities Physician shall provide all appropriate general Internal Medicine or Family care within the scope of the physician's specialty and license, including but not limited to:
Maintain the standard of care for the delivery of primary care medicine services:
Meet all DNV and other regulatory requirements;
Order medications, referrals and or medical devices as needed;
Ensure that appropriate preventative medicine testing is conducted on a routine basis;
Participate with all quality improvement and assurance initiatives;
Conduct appropriate follow up to ensure appropriate levels of patient care;
Provide night and weekend call/triage coverage.
Market the practice through direct physician to physician communication, community education, community service or other appropriate channels;
Maintain and implement standards for health promotion and health maintenance;
Follow current state, federal and local laws governing the delivery of care;
Ensure that appearance and personal conduct are professional at all times;
Accept and care as applicable for indigent and clinic patients in a manner consistent with compassionate and ethical patient care.
Accept all managed care plans accepted by Employer;
Demonstrate knowledge of current coding guidelines and requirements and maintain an error rate within hospital guidelines (currently 5% or less);
Complete required reporting in a timely manner, such as medical records.
If conducting hospital rounds, ensure accurate and timely billing for hospital services;
Submit all bills for outpatient and inpatient work in a timely manner to the Department of Physician Practice Management Support;
Use and endorse the use of all of Hospital's automated systems, as appropriate;
Physician shall participate in community education and scientific programs as may be delegated or assigned to the Physician by Chairperson/ leadership and/or the Hospital’s President.
Additional duties as assigned by Chairperson/Chief Medical Officer or CEO.
