LabCorp is seeking a Histology Professional to join our team at Ascension Providence in Waco, TX.

Shift 1, 5x8 hours, Monday - Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm; Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care

Perform and document equipment maintenance as needed

Record equipment log data in an accurate and timely manner

Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures

Adhere to the laboratory's quality control policies

Follow the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing, analysis and reporting

Document problems that may affect test performance and perform corrective actions as needed

Associate's degree in a Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology

• 3 months or more experience working in a high volume laboratory environment
• 3 months or more of experience in histology

Histology and/or ASCP certifications

• 1 year or more experience working in a high volume laboratory environment
• 1 years or more of experience in histology

In lieu of education requirements listed above, non-traditional degrees with applicable science credits that meet CLIA standards may meet education requirement

Familiarity with routine histology procedures and equipment

Ability to accurately read all labels and documents

Familiarity with laboratory SOPs and safety protocols
