Job Details
Essential Job Functions:
Designing controls systems for custom machines utilizing EPLAN, AutoCAD Electric or Electrical, including Pneumatic and Hydraulic designs
Navigate customer specifications to ensure machine designs meet customer standards (ex GM GCCH, Ford GVOSS, etc.)
Ability to think conceptually, work in parallel with mechanical designs in development
Work with Manufacturing Engineering to develop assembly, process control and quality workmanship procedures
Effective communication between program managers and controls engineers to keep flow of project maintained
Keeping updated on the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years industry experience
- Minimum 2 years' experience with EPLAN
- Ability to make changes quickly and work in a team environment
- Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
- Ability to size electrical systems proficiently, familiarity with UL508A
- Familiarity with NFPA 79, ANSI B11, and other common Auto Industry standards
