This includes selecting suitable materials, preparing metal surfaces, determining gas ratios, and inspecting weld strength during and after the welding process. This position will also require the construction of trusses for various applications. This position requires participation in both design and production related topics and effective cross functional collaboration with other manufacturing departments, quality, and management.Shifts:1st Shift: Monday-Friday 6:00 am- 2:30 pm2nd Shift: Monday-Friday 2 pm- 10:30 pm3rd Shift: Monday-Friday 10 pm- 6:30 amWKND 1: Friday- Sunday 6 am- 6:30 pmWKND 2: Friday- Sunday 6 pm- 6:30 amWhat You'll Do:Selects, measures, cuts, and joins appropriate metals to specifications.Prepares metals and work surfaces to ensure safe and effective assemblage.Regularly cleans and inspects welding equipment and tools.Determines correct gas ratios.Tests the strength of joins during and after project completion.Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to Supervisor or Manager.Performs any other duties as assigned or directed by Supervisor as production needs require.Follows all policies, procedures, and work instructions including Employee Handbook, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Job Safety Analysis (JSAs), and Safety Manual.Maintains awareness of individual contribution to and impact of the quality, safety, environmental, and product compliance policies and activities; reports all quality issues, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions to the proper personnel.Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.What You'll Bring:High School Diploma or GED; AWS Certification preferred2+ years' experience in structural welding.Must be detail oriented, efficient, and able to work under minimal supervision and guidance.Must be computer literate.Able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and crouch for an 8-hour shift.Must be able to use hands and fingers to handle or feel machinery, equipment or parts and work near moving mechanical parts.You'll have access to a wide range of medical, dental, and vision benefits, along with personalized guidance from a "Health Advocate."
