With the launch of our new veterinary practices, we are looking for a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join our Healthcare Practice Team. As a clinical team member, you'll work in a practice crafted from the ground up by veterinarians, equipped with advanced equipment and purpose-built technology so that you can practice your best medicine and focus on patient and pet parent care. Perform physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures in a way that will deliver quality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort. Has mastered medical skills and perform basic surgery. Educate clients on preventative health care, including vaccines and appropriate nutritional products. Maintain client/patient medical/surgical records and make certain all logs are kept up to date through established protocols; Staying current with new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine, attend continuing education meetings. Assist in the development of the paraprofessional team to ensure the delivery of the highest quality care. Positively represents the clinic in the professional community and to the public. Support Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants with escalations as needed. Participation in self-development courses and Chewy Vet Care required compliance training. Oversee operating, safety, and compliance procedures as required by applicable law and Chewy Vet Care processes and policies. Position may require some travel. A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (DVM, VMD) or equivalent is required Active State license in good standing, DEA license and other state credentials as required 0 - 2 years' experience in general medicine and surgery 2 years of supervised experience with veterinary radiation machines preferred Multi-task with a high degree of integrity and accountability. Comfortable collaborating with other veterinary professionals in a team-oriented environment. Is passionate about helping people and pets with empathy and excellent customer service focus. Standing or walking up to 80% per shift. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant.
