Project Genesis, a Connecticut nonprofit organization, is looking for compassionate, dependable, and motivated individuals to join our Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Program as Independent Living Skills Trainers (ILSTs) .

As an Independent Living Skills Trainer, you'll work one-on-one with individuals recovering from acquired brain injuries, helping them achieve greater independence and improve their quality of life.
Teaching daily living skills such as cooking, budgeting, shopping, job readiness, and using public transportation
Coaching clients in problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and emotional regulation
Monitoring progress and documenting client achievements
Supporting clients in meeting health, safety, and personal goals
Connecting individuals with community resources that promote independence and success
Encouraging confidence, self-advocacy, and personal growth every step of the way
Every client has unique goals, and you'll play an important role in helping them reach their full potential.
A high school diploma (or equivalent) plus at least two (2) years of verifiable experience working with individuals with brain injuries , or
A bachelor's degree plus at least one (1) year of verifiable brain injury-related experience
Flexibility to travel to client locations
Recent graduates in psychology, social work, rehabilitation, education, nursing, or related fields
College students with qualifying experience seeking meaningful work
Veterans who enjoy serving others and making an impact
