Construction Project Engineering I

We perform installation, rigging, millwrighting, and maintenance for manufacturing and industrial markets across the Southeast.

Southern Industrial Constructors Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to work out of our Raleigh, NC office. This position could be based on various industrial sites in or out of the NC area. Provide exceptional, first class customer service.

• Assist with the execution and management of the terms of projects contracts.
• Prepare and present computer-generated spreadsheets and reports.
• Maintain regular communication and collaboration with entire project team, including Project Foreman, Project Manager, General Contractor, Architect/Engineer and other subcontractors.
• Generate, maintain and facilitate project documentation in the execution of the construction processes for all -phases of the project. This will include, but is not limited to, requests for information, submittals, drawings, specifications, purchase orders, material orders, change orders, close-out documents, etc.
• Perform material take offs from drawings to help generate estimates and changes.
• Maintain flexibility with assigned work environment and assigned project locations. Comply with all company operating policies, procedures and safety programs as established.
• Other duties may be assigned as specific project dictates.

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or related field; OR 2 years’ prior experience in related field via internships, co-ops and/or industry employment.

• Flexibility and adaptability in utilized a wide range of computer software.
• Engineer-in-training certification, Journeyman license and field experience preferred, but not required.
• Conditions include working in office, with occasional entry into shop, busy traffic areas, and warehouses. Occasional exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather conditions. Must be able to effectively use any required PPE equipment.
