Transmission Lineman AThe Transmission Lineman A assists the Journeyman Lineman and the Foreman. Responsible for performing work related to the construction and maintenance of poles, power lines, auxiliary facilities, and equipment for the Transmission team. Responsibilities:Transmission structure replacements, wire pulling, new line builds.Perform construction, maintenance, or repair work of Transmission lines.Install and maintain wood poles and steel towers of all heights, including setting, framing, and installing hardware, and other related materials.Operate and maintain vehicles and specialized equipment used in the electric utility industry.Proficient in climbing different types of structures (wood, steel, poles, towers, etc.).Up to 100% travel required.Must be willing to travel with the crews in Georgia and Florida. Valid and current Class A CDL.Leadership Training.Completion of Apprenticeship Program.Physical Demands and Work Environment:This job operates in a field environment. Also, working in inclement weather conditions, such as extreme heat, extreme cold, rain, ice, snow, and wind.
