Full Time Preschool Teacher - Lead Position

SAGE Prep is the first step in a child’s educational pipeline. A quality, year-round, full-day pre-kindergarten program, SAGE Prep works with over 100 children across three sites to ensure that everyone enters kindergarten school-ready. SAGE Prep staff encourage strong family involvement, engaging parents, and stakeholders in classroom activities, and creating consistency between home and school. Scholars get to know and explore the world around them through exposure to a range of disciplines—from math, science, and technology to social studies and the arts. They participate in fun fitness activities, playing sports, and even learn the basics of health and nutrition, including how to differentiate “go,” “slow,” and “whoa” foods to foster healthy eating habits. Our team has been comprehensively reviewing best practices from local, national, and international school systems and following government guidelines to ensure we are taking all safety measures related to the pandemic. Role Description The Lead Preschool Teacher is a full-time, on-site position responsible for planning and leading daily classroom activities for preschool-age children. The Lead Preschool Teacher observes and documents children’s progress, communicates regularly with families, and collaborates with team members to support each child’s individual needs. Additional responsibilities include preparing instructional materials, managing classroom routines, and ensuring compliance with school policies and early childhood education standards.
Qualifications Strong foundation in Early Childhood Education and experience working with preschool and kindergarten-age children.
Proficiency in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development tailored to early learners.
Effective Communication skills for engaging children, collaborating with colleagues, and partnering with families.
Knowledge of child development, classroom management, and age-appropriate instructional strategies.
Ability to create inclusive, culturally responsive learning environments that support diverse backgrounds and abilities.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred; Previous experience as a lead or assistant teacher in a preschool or early learning setting is highly beneficial.
