Registered Nurse (RN), Full Time Day Shift, ICU - ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Aspirus Health is hiring Registered Nurses (RNs) for a high-acuity Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) at our regional hospital in Wausau, WI.

If you’re an RN who wants to move beyond traditional med-surg nursing, strengthen your critical-care skills, and care for complex patients in a supportive environment, this is an opportunity worth exploring.

Full-time position with 12-hour shifts
Day and night shift opportunities
Care for high-acuity and medically complex patients
Exposure to neuro, trauma, post-surgical, telemetry, and complex medical cases
Strong orientation, training, and onboarding support
Excellent opportunity for new graduate RNs and experienced nurses
Build valuable skills for future opportunities in ICU, critical care, emergency care, or other specialty areas
Work alongside an experienced interdisciplinary care team
As an IMCU RN, you’ll provide comprehensive nursing care to patients who require closer monitoring and more advanced clinical care than a traditional medical-surgical setting.

Provide safe, compassionate, and patient-centered nursing care
Care for patients with complex medical, neurological, trauma, and post-surgical conditions
Collaborate with physicians, CNAs, therapists, and other members of the care team
Educate patients and families throughout the care process
Current RN license in Wisconsin or eligibility through a compact license
New graduate RNs are welcome to apply
Experienced RNs with med-surg, telemetry, step-down, progressive care, IMCU, ICU, critical care, or similar experience are encouraged to apply
