RN - Emergency Department (Healthcare)

Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Location: Corpus Christi, TX

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 07:00-19:00

Job Description: The Emergency Department (ED) is a fast-paced unit with 16 beds and 8 hall chairs, staffed by a dedicated team of 6-7 professionals per shift. The unit is transitioning from a Level IV to a Level II trauma hospital, focusing on providing timely care to various patient categories including Stroke, STEMI, Sepsis, and Trauma patients.

Responsibilities:

Conduct patient assessments and document findings.

Administer medications and provide wound care.

Perform splinting, IV placements, urine collections, and lab draws.

Care for patients categorized as ESI 5 through 1.

Participate in mandatory shift huddles at 7am and 7pm.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

Must have Level II or Level III trauma experience.

Candidates must possess TNCC, ENPC or PALS, ACLS, and BLS certifications.

Greater than two years of emergency department experience is preferred.

Candidates with CEN or TCRN, CPI certifications will be prioritized.
