Process orders for parenteral and enteral medications, and other pharmaceuticals as needed for optimal patient care according to standards and practices for patients in all age groups including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric. Promote safe, cost-effective, rational drug use and provides expert pharmaceutical information to other health colleagues. UHS) has built an impressive record of achievement and performance. Operating acute care hospitals, behavioral health facilities, outpatient facilities and ambulatory care access points, an insurance offering, a physician network and various related services located all over the U.Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Pharmacy. Five (5) years progressively responsible experience performing pharmacy functions in an acute care setting.
Ability to serve as a lead worker to subordinate personnel.
Knowledge of the principles, practices and procedures of Clinical Pharmacy including drug therapymonitoring, drug information, drug utilization review, pharmacokinetics, nutritional support, adverse drugreaction monitoring and cardiopulmonary arrest.
Ability to maintain good planning and organizational skills.
Ability to maintain harmonious and effective working relationships with other employees and respond to general public complaints.
Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
Participation in Local, State and National Pharmacy Organizations to acquire/improve Competency
Some travel, to follow-up with Corporate, Financial, GPO, Compliance and Pyxis issues.
