Responsibilities

Assume responsibility for the delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient care in the perioperative setting for all patient populations.

Assess and monitor patients, coordinating care through the various stages of surgical care.

Assist with surgical equipment and supplies.

Assist with positioning and preparing the patient for surgery.

Documentation of nursing care accurately and complete.

Collaborate effectively with other disciplines and departments as applicable.

Requirements

A current RN licensure with the State Board of Nursing in Illinois.

CPR and ACLS certified.

First Assist‑RN, Circulator, and/or Pre‑op/PACU Experience preferred.

Ortho and General Surgery Experience preferred.

Experience with EMR Surgical applications; preference for CERNER.
