SYSTEMS ENGINEERING AND ANALYSIS

DescriptionBe a part of an exciting, dynamic R&D environment, working on a team providing key insights to senior agency leaders. SAIC has an opening for an experienced engineer to provide Systems Engineering services to an IC research and development (R&D) customer. The customer organization applies research to real-world solutions, revolutionizing agency approaches in engineering, development, integration & test and operations with world-wide impacts. The customer servers as principal advisor to the senior officials on matters pertaining to the technical readiness and execution of programs and projects. This position provides Systems Engineering & Technical Advisory (SETA) support services. Position responsibilities include but not limited to:Ensure R&D efforts are planned and conducted on a sound engineering basis with proper controls and management of programmatic risksAssess impact of programmatic decisionsParticipate in program reviewsLead development of Enterprise success metrics, Governance Plan, Statement of Assurance, and directorate sponsored Directives and InstructionsSupport communication of organization Vision, Goals, and StrategiesIdentify gaps between needs and acquisition offices capabilities to provide inputs to strategic planningDevelop documents and briefings to communicate work or study status, brief government and industry as requiredMaintain proficiency in various presentation delivery methodologies and softwareCreate briefings and publications of various projects and serve as primary coordinatorReview, Coordinate, and Integrate office inputs for Front Office communications and responsesFrequent interaction with government, SETA, FFRDC, and external stakeholdersQualificationsActive TS/SCI with PolyBachelor’s degree in STEM (science, technical, engineering, math) or related discipline with at least 9 years related experience or Master’s degree in STEM with 7 years of relevant experience5 years relevant experience in systems engineeringDemonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and energetic environmentDemonstrated ability to work on a cross-functional teamEffective interpersonal, briefing, and writing skillsExperience facilitating customer-driven meetings or technical forumsDemonstrated ability to work with MS Office applicationsUnderstanding of core systems engineering and analysis disciplines and processesDesired Qualifications:Experience providing on-site Systems Engineering and Technical Advisor (SETA) support in an advisory capacity to senior leadersAdvanced degree in STEM (science, technical, engineering, math) or related disciplineExperience with IC R&D organizationsPrior US military and/or IC customer experienceJob Field: Engineering and SciencesTravel: Yes, 10 % of the Time
