Counselor - Flex (Group Home)

Mental Health Residential Counselor

Schedule/Shift: Monday - Friday 3 pm - 11 pm

The Residential Counselor supports group home residents with daily living activities, delivering high-quality services that help consumers achieve measurable outcomes for new and ongoing consumer care challenges in accordance with Individual Rehabilitation Plans (IRP). The role requires maintaining compliance with all licensing, regulatory, and ENJ policies and procedures, and upholding ENJ’s Core Values of Warmth, Respect, and Expertise.

Regularly bends, kneels, crouches, reaches, ascends, and descends stairs, pulls or pushes heavy objects, including wheelchairs, providing physical assistance and crisis interventions.

May operate and transport consumers in Busettes and 12‑passenger buses (ambulatory and non‑ambulatory).

Regularly operates office equipment and uses technology daily.

Works varying shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and/or holidays to accommodate service activity.

Transports service recipients to and from home and assigned community activities.

Bachelor’s Degree in mental health, psychology, sociology, social work, human services, or a related field from an accredited college or university, OR

A combination of one (1) or more years of college plus related life or work experience equal to four (4) years, OR

High school diploma or GED plus four (4) years of related work or life experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Use of Company Van during scheduled shift for transporting consumers.
