The BBSI Junior Risk Consultant primary objective is to help business owners maximize their investment in human capital through establishment of Risk and Workers' Compensation best practices. Successful candidate will have a strong focus in risk management, workers' compensation and risk mitigation strategies that positively impact our clients and BBSI.
This person must demonstrate strong abilities in workers' compensation, risk and safety, training and development, and creating and implementing overall risk strategy with clients. This position is a full time, exempt position that is accountable to the Branch Area Manager and their respective Business Unit(s).
Solid understanding of occupational health and safety principles and practices
Understanding of safety culture and ability to demonstrate how to shift one
Demonstrated proficiency in conducting root cause analysis for risk mitigation
Demonstrated experience with customer collaboration
Workers' Compensation Claims experience preferred
Ability to benchmark, measure, analyze and articulate the value of risk management initiatives, practices and policies.
At least 5 years of workers' compensation claims mgmt., risk management, occupational health and safety and regulatory experience required.
Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred
Risk mitigation from insurance industry preferred, but not required
Roughly 60% of time spent with clients at their location - primarily local
Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required
