Runner (Afternoon/Evening Shift)

ROLE OVERVIEW As a Food Runner/Busser at KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot, you are the bridge between the dining room and the kitchen. You will be instrumental in helping to create a smooth and enjoyable dining experience. This position is perfect for someone who loves interacting with people and thrives in a lively, fast-paced environment.
Duties and Responsibilities: Greet all guests promptly and warmly upon arrival.
Answer guest questions regarding the menu and KPOT brand.
Provide accurate information regarding menu, pricing, hours, promotions, and policies.
Listen attentively to guests to ensure their needs are met.
Assist with side work and opening/closing tasks.
Observe and monitor table turnover by taking note of occupied, dirty or clean tables.
Support the front-of-house team in resetting tables quickly to seamlessly transition tables to guests.
Inform management of large parties, special requests, or guest concerns.
Communicate clearly and concisely with the kitchen staff and management regarding allergy orders.
Maintain a positive, energetic, and hospitality-focused attitude at all times.
Multi-task and balance between bar and dining room orders.
Be a team player, assisting other team members whenever needed to ensure guest satisfaction.
Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8-10 hours per shift).
Ability to lift and carry up to 25-50 pounds.
Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive movements in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work in varying conditions, including heat, cold, and noise.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Essential Functions: Prior restaurant experience is not necessary but preferred.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong communication and a passion for delivering world-class service at every touchpoint.
Comfortable working around grills and hot cooking surfaces.
