Pay & Benefits

Hourly Pay Rate: $50.25/hour

What You'll Do

Provide patient care on a Medical-Surgical unit specializing in PCU with CVA, TIA, COVID, and PPE protocols
Manage complex clinical situations including CVL placement, Foley catheter management, tube feedings, arterial lines, and diabetes care
Handle drip titrations (Levophed, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Insulin) and pass EKG competency exam prior to deployment
Collaborate with charge nurses, resource nurses, RTs, hospitalists, and therapy teams for optimal patient outcomes
Document patient care using Meditech Expanse EMR; operate Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis medication systems
Float to stepdown and med-surg units as needed, maintaining flexibility and adaptability
Work a rotating schedule including weekend rotations and major holidays, with up to 7 days of requested time off (contract extension required for full-week RTO)
Maintain professional standards, including proper badge placement, appropriate scrubs, and no cell phone use in patient care areas
What You Need
Required:

Valid RN license in Louisiana
Minimum 2 years of RN experience in acute care settings
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
Experience with CVL management, drip titrations, and arterial line management
Preferred:

Experience with Meditech EMR, PICC/midline placement, and ICU support skills
Ability to pass EKG competency exam
