Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced, fast-paced Travel Registered Nurse for a high-volume, 8-week post-surgical assignment at Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, WI. If you excel at multitasking, have a strong team-first mindset, and thrive in a Level II Trauma environment handling rapid admissions, this short-term contract is perfect for you!
Facility Details & Unit Highlights:

Facility: Aspirus Wausau Hospital (Level II Trauma Center)
Unit: Post-Surgical Care Unit (PSCU) – 40-bed inpatient unit caring for adult and geriatric post-op patients.
Volume: Highly active unit averaging 10–15 admissions per day.
Patient Ratios: 1:4–1:5 on Days/PMs | 1:5–1:7 on Nights
Charting System: Epic EMR (with Rover medication scanning)
Dress Code: Flexible! Any color solid scrubs are accepted.
Requirements:

Minimum 2+ years of recent inpatient acute care Med-Surg/Post-Surgical experience.
Prior travel nursing experience is strictly required.
Level II Trauma Center experience is required.
Active Wisconsin or Compact RN License.
Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC).
Strict Radius Rule: Permanent residence must be 50+ miles away from the facility.
Must be comfortable with rotating 12-hour shifts and floating to other inpatient units as needed.
