Security Professional - Retail Patrol

As a Security Officer Patrol Response Team in Nottingham, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this people-first role, you will support a welcoming environment through teamwork, reliability, and integrity while bringing an agile, innovative approach to daily responsibilities.

Position Type: Full Time

Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the location.

Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document security-related observations and activities according to site guidelines.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, exterior walkways, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.

Monitor entrances, high-traffic areas, and/or restricted spaces within the retail location, assisting with access control, crowd management, and policy compliance.

Communicate with property management, local contacts, and/or first responders as needed regarding security-related issues, suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and incident follow-up.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
