Job Title: CNC Technician Job Description

The CNC Technician is responsible for performing machine adjustments, ensuring dimensional accuracy, and supporting production flow. This role requires a strong technical ability, precision measurement skills, and the capability to troubleshoot machining, tooling, and programming issues while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Ensure dimensional conformance of parts by reading blueprints and analyzing part measurements.

Support production flow and lead operators within the assigned machining area.

Troubleshoot a variety of issues including machine errors, tooling errors, and out-of-tolerance programming errors.

Perform re-works on and off the machine and ensure correct documentation of quantities and operations.

Use hand tools such as files and hand reamers to de-bur parts while maintaining product conformity.

Perform visual inspections to identify issues early in the production process.

Train operators on standard operating procedures and visual inspection details.

Support production plans based on priorities, output goals, and efficiencies of respective lines.

Engage in Lean Manufacturing activities such as TPM, 5S, and Kan-Ban.

Strong understanding of CNC machine operation.

Proficiency in using precision measurement equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.

Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.

Ability to perform quality inspections and ensure product conformity.

Experience in training operators and supporting production plans.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Atlanta, GA.
