Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.
Local Team Collaboration:

We take pride in our well-established team at John Peter Smith of 37 physicians and five advanced practice providers (APPs), with the support of a clinical performance nurse and a practice manager.
We are an integral part of our hospital community and a valued strategic partner, maintaining great relationships with hospital leadership and other physician groups.
Our team actively participates in committees and leadership roles to support quality and process improvement.

Board-certified/eligible in family or internal medicine.

This is a full-time nocturnist role.
Full-time positions follow a 7-nights-on, 7-nights-off rotation

Focus on managing complex cases in a closed ICU environment with 24/7 intensivist coverage, without the expectation of performing procedures or running codes.
The average census per nocturnist is 10-11 admits per night. You will have an APP taking the cross coverage call at night.
EMR is EPIC.
182.5 shifts a year
Nocturnist's yearly base compensation is $313, 900.
Eligible for both PPI and PQI bonuses.
