Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with up to 101 beds and patient ratios of 4:1 (medical) and up to 7:1 for behavioral holds
Utilize Cerner for clinical documentation and maintain accurate, up-to-date patient information throughout each visit
Operate Baxter pumps and GE monitors in accordance with unit protocols
Demonstrate patient experience standards including AIDET, respectful behavior, and consistent patient communication and board updates
Float within all sections of the Emergency Department as needed to meet departmental staffing needs
Collaborate with techs, cardiac monitoring unit staff, triage personnel, and unit clerks across day and night shifts
Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting
Experience in a Level II Trauma Center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ annual visits)
Active RN licensure in North Carolina or compact state eligibility
ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required prior to start date
ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
Strong teamwork mentality with ability to coach and provide real-time feedback; flexibility to work in all areas of the ED
Preferred Experience / Skills

Previous experience within an HCA-affiliated facility
Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records system
Experience serving diverse, multicultural patient populations
